This is one of the main Uganda safaris for those with more days to spend mixing safari and gorilla trekking. A Visit to Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National park in Uganda. You will See various animals including the tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, swamp of hippos, both Migrant and birds both residents and Migrant. Itinerary

Day 1:

Entebbe – Accommodation:

Depending on when your flight will leave you home today, board your flight to Uganda to arrive Entebbe: You will be met by our representative waiting for your arrival at the Airport, who will then transfer you to your Hotel of Choice either in Entebbe town or Kampala capital city.

Day 2:

Entebbe via Kampala – Murchison falls

A pleasantly planned safari begins at 08:00am when your guide takes you for a drive on northward pleasant safari which will include you’re a lunch stop in Masindi before proceeding to the Murchison falls. Upon arrival at the park, you will begin to encounter with variety of birds, monkeys, and baboons in the cool Budongo forest as you are guided along. An opportunity to enjoy the mighty falls views at the top before crossing the river Nile to your hotel for Overnight

Day 3:

Murchison Falls National Park.

An early morning game drive enabling you to see the Giraffe, lions Elephants, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck hyena and if your lucky, the leopard and a three hours boat ride in the afternoon after your lunch, allows you more bird watching of species like the shoebill and animals like: – crocodiles, hippos and elephants, before retiring to your camp for Overnight

Day 4.

Murchison falls – Kibale forest

After breakfast, depart for Kibale forest national park through Hoima with a lunch stop at Hoima Kolping hotel then proceeds to Kibale arriving at your hotel for  overnight.

Day 5.

kibale forest national park. – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Leave Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning via Kasese town to refuel your car while enjoying the views of Mountain Rwenzori (Mountain Rwenzori is the highest mountain in Uganda with an altitude of 5109 m also known as Mountains of the Moon), proceed for a boat ride to Kazinga Channel,  overnight

 Day 6

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi National Park

An early morning warm up Tea/coffee at 6:30am before proceeding for a game drive to the Kasenyi area, on an open savannah grazing the variety of mammals including elephants, buffalo, warthog, baboon, lion, leopard, several monkey species, spotted hyena, Uganda Kob and Bush Bucks. Enjoy the various numbers of bird species, return for a full breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park arriving in the evening to checking to your accommodation, overnight

Day 7

Bwindi National Park

At 07:15 you shall be served with breakfast and your guide will lead you to the briefing ground to get the briefing at 8.00am before entry to the forest for gorilla trekking. The guides will then take you through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers to the track the gorillas, When the gorillas are spotted, the guide shall ask you to stand 7 meters away from the apes and your requested that you remove flash light on your camera. You shall return back exhausted, refreshing at your accommodation for a few hours and later an afternoon guided village walk to learn how the communities around the Bwindi Park are benefiting from the tourism of the area; this is an ideal short walk. A number of different bird species, Bwindi’s colorful array of butterflies, coffee, tea and potato plantations are along this trail. The tour shall be marked ended when you return to you hotel for dinner while you sit with your guide for briefing of the next day program, retiring for overnight later, overnight

Bwindi National Park – via Kampala

Early departure after your breakfast in the morning at 7:00am from Bwindi gorilla National park. Lunch shall be served enroute and just incase you need souvenirs then you will have an opportunity to stop at the Equator to buy some before proceeding to Kampala if you are stay here or to Entebbe to catch your flight back home (HB)

SEASONALITY DATES AND RATES VALIDITY

Child policy Rate (3 –12 years)

Children below 2 years sharing with an adult are Enjoy safari free of charge. Children above the age of 12 years are considered as adults and pay full rates without a gorilla or Chimpanzee or Golden monkey permit. Children between 3 years and 12 years old sharing the safari with an adult will be charged 50% of the full adult rate. N.B. Children rates are only applicable when sharing with two adults on a safari. In case of one adult sharing with a child/ children, the single safari rate plus the children’s rate is applicable.

Also Note that Children below 16years do not go for Either Chimpanzee or Gorilla Tracking, they shall only go for children’s activities.

Gorilla Permits

  1. All gorilla permits need to be purchased at the time of booking or a deposit equivalent to 50% of the cost of the safari paid, whichever is higher. Gorilla viewing is subject to availability of permits, which are limited; any additional gorilla permits required should be purchased when booking. Gorilla permit prices are subject to change without warning.
  2. Prices for gorilla safaris are based on clients staying together. Separate quotes are available, on request, for clients wishing to stay at other properties.
